Many of the people I see have misperceptions about health. They believe that its bad to eat certain foods.
Some people believe that a vegetarian diet is the best for everyone and that simply isn't true. In fact for good health most of us would benefit from eating some meat. The secret is balance.
A little of everything is good.
A good diet consists mainly of fruit and vegetables. It is important to have some grains, fats and protein, But the emphasis should be on foods that have a low glycaemic index, That is, there conversion to glucose is controlled. Bread, potato and pasta all have a high GI index. Important for athletes but not for couch potatoes. So this is where you need to find the balance for your lifestyle.
Question: I feel unmotivated and can't seem to get anything done
The most common reason for this is some form of depression. Most people suffer from depression at some time in their lives. There are varying degrees of it. For some its just feeling a little down, for others it is a huge weight that causes extreme mental symptoms.
The usual cause is suppression of an emotional event. It may have happened in the distant past or it may be a more recent event. Sometimes it is important to take antidepressants but there is a need to get to the cause of the problem I find kinesiology very helpful for clients with this problem
